Pronunciation
JARRAPUA uses only thirteen letters, always written using upper case Roman letters pronounced as follows.
J= any sibilant affricate example: ch in chip
S= any sibilant fricative example: s in mustard
F= any nonsibilant fricative example: f in refund
M= any labial nasal example: m in laminate
N= any coronal or dorsal nasal example: n in lunar
R= any trill, flap, or coronal approximant example: r in parity
P= any bilabial or labiodental stop example: p in lupus
T= any coronal stop example: t in ratify
K= any dorsal stop example: k in liking
H= any laryngeal example: h in hat
A= any open vowel example: a in father
U= any back close vowel example: u in rule
E= any front close vowel example: 1st e in athlete
Note: I think my examples work in all variants of English pronunciation. American and RP anyway.
There are also 6 dipthongs, pairs of vowels.
AU can be spelled "O" and AE can be spelled "I".
